Midnight in Paris and the Perfect Summer Dress
Isn't this 20's flapper dress stunning on Marion Cotillard? Even if the design evokes an era from almost a 100 years ago, it manages to look very current and fresh and just a little bit flirtatious. I love that it is both girlish and ladylike. I guess I always fall for this sort of timeless silhouette. I would wear this in an instant. Even in white.
Sonia Grande is the Costume Designer for Midnight in Paris and this is just one of many memorable pieces she created for this movie that I'd love to have in my closet!

French Macarons in Mexico:Theurel & Thomas
Isn't this airy, shop magical? It's the first "Maison de Macaron" in Mexico and makes me want to travel to San Pedro Garcia, to make a visit. The graceful, fantasy French decor is such a perfect choice to highlight the rainbows of macarons. Impressive work by the design firm, Anagrama.

It's not always black and white
I know, I know, I always wear black. I can't help it, it's in my New York DNA. But it's June and my French genes are ready for gingham -- one of my favorite wardrobe flourishes.
