You never know when you might make an inadvertent mis-step.
But on the other hand, you can stumble on to something great by accident, too.
It began a few years ago, one Spring morning I spotted a heart sprayed curbside in front of my loft in downtown Los Angeles and took a picture.
A few weeks later in Little Tokyo, I took another one.
But then I snapped this one on 10th Avenue in New York and I realized this was going to be a habit. A travel-photo diary. A series. Something. I just knew it was fun. So I just snapped and saved. I didn't even look at the Street and Feet collection all together until now. It appears that there was goofy progression. At first it was numbers: First "zero", then "one":

Then came a rapid fire number sequence in Greenwhich Village:
I swear I never even realized any of this - -I was one of those "I 'm not a numbers person" (until I had my own business...)
But the ones and zeros evolved... to circles back on Traction Avenue
And then squares (with always appreciated confetti) in front of the Metropolitan Museum
And then-- who knows why-- I went botanical near the Hudson river
And again on West 55th street
But soon I went back to spray painted enhancements
Meeting cute in the East Village

And Serious and Spooky in Paris
So this is just the first in another occasional series
Without any fancy footwork, I'll be on my toes and and land on my feet with more
Meanwhile, here's a great link for beautiful, artful unexpected things just under your feet:
